Today I heard back. They aren’t going to move forward with this manuscript BUT the editor has offered to work with me on my next submission. OMG I’m a tad excited about that prospect. I know I’m going to be in for a huge learning curve and I can’t wait. It will also mean that I cannot put things off. The housework will have to wait even longer, might have to look at cooking in bulk and putting meals in the freezer and I will have to cut down my volunteer hours at the kids school. The timing is pretty good as one of the things I volunteer for will be winding down in the next couple of weeks. Most importantly I’m going to have to get words on the page. Just sit down and DO IT!!
The big thing as well is to believe in myself. I have something they are really interested in and I have to ensure that I keep injecting that into my stories. If I doubt myself I’ll go back and look at the email they sent me today.
I cannot wait for this next step in my journey as a writer. I hope you can come along for the ride with me.
