Your Dream World – Winter Wonderland Blog Hop

Welcome to the Winter Wonderland Blog Hop for Crimson Romance Authors. If you’d like to visit other bloggers of the next 4 days, click here or the Winter Wonderland Picture on my sidebar and you’ll find out who is participating. There are prizes galore to win just by leaving a comment. Details of those prizes are listed at the end of this blog.

Let’s get started ……..

Where is your dream world? That place you’d like to go to where no one calls your name out every five minutes.Where you don’t have to cook or clean. Where everyone waits on you hand and foot and the sun shines down and the water glistens – oh wait sorry I got carried away there.

When you’re an author you create the perfect world for your characters and then you throw things at them so they have to work at getting back to that place of Zen. One of the most critical parts of that job is to create the world so that you, the reader imagine you’re sitting next to them on their private jet. Or you’re working alongside of them when they are saving someone’s life. When I read a book I’m with the characters 100%. I cry. I laugh. I get angry and I sigh when it all comes together.

My goal as an author is for you to experience the same emotions as my characters. I want you to get so caught up in their world and circumstances that the world around you doesn’t exist for a few hours. I want to know that I have written my characters so well that afterwards when you’re walking in the supermarket that a random thought comes to you and you wonder how the characters are doing – believe me I’ve done that myself with some of the books I’ve read.

So tell me where would your ideal ‘world’ be? Don’t forget to comment because not only will you go into the drawer for the main draw to win either a $100 Amazon or B&N gift card, or one of two $50 Amazon or B&N gift card. BUT!! By commenting you will go into a draw on my blog to win a copy of Masquerade, a Masquerade Mask and some swag! Also some of the other authors participating will be having giveaways too!

GOOD LUCK!!! Happy Commenting!

Definitely Paris in the fall – crisp but sunny days walking through the Montmarte with a pastry — so perfect!

My ideal place is by myself on a big boat, cruising somewhere, sitting on the deck with my nook and reading. The sound of the water, the sun, and a cool breeze as you are transported to another place in an awesome romance. Heaven!…What more could you ask for?

Thank you Nicole for the opportunity to meet you, explore your site and learn a little about your writing.

  10. OH Mel I’m living in Texas at present – in Houston. Although I’m originally from Australia 🙂

The weather is good. Which is great although the humidity can be a real killer!

I’d have to go with Scotland. Love that place. The Pacific Northwest, Canada, and Alaska run pretty close behind. Perhaps, I’m just partial to the climate. Most likely, it’s the Scotsmen with the first though. 🙂

Thanks for participating in the hop. Have a great Thanksgiving!
