Winter Wonderland Blog – Thanks on Last Day!

Well today is the last day of the blog hop, have you had fun with your blog hopping?  I want to thank everyone who came and visited my blog and who took the time out to leave a message to go into the draw to win prizes. I mean seriously who doesn’t love to win prizes??

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Prior to the last four years, for me Thanksgiving was just another day. It’s not celebrated in Australia. We know that the US celebrates Thanksgiving but it’s not a big deal in Australia. As I said it’s just the 3rd Thursday in November. For us our big family get together is Christmas. Christmas for me, has and always will be, about family.  Sharing breakfast, lunch and dinner with my extended family. It’s been weird these last three Christmases not to get up and rush to my Aunt’s for Breakfast. Then either to my place or one of my sisters or sister-in-law for lunch and then off to the mother-in-laws or back to my place for dinner!  Full on and you know what, people may say, but the kids can’t play with toys blah blah blah. I love it and the kids will get presents at each stop!

Anyway I digress I was going to talk about Thanksgiving and what it’s all about which is giving thanks for what you have. So here’s my list:

1.  I’m want to thank my husband for being so patient and understanding with me. I’ve stretched him to the limit a few times 🙂

2. I’m thankful that I have two beautiful kids, even though some days I want to give them away.

3. I’m thankful to each and every person that has bought my book and not only supported me before I was published but also after it. I’m thrilled to receive tweets saying people enjoyed my book. There is more to come.

4. I’m thankful that my parents are both still happy and healthy. I miss them but hopefully can get to see them next year.

5. I’m thankful that I can work remotely for my job in Australia and that they were happy to take a chance on me.

6. I’m thankful that I am happy and healthy.

7. I’m thankful that my husband is gainfully employed.

8. I’m thankful that I can go grocery shopping every week.

9. I’m thankful that I have a roof over my head.

10. I’m thankful for my family and friends.

As we know we could all make a list of 100 or more reasons to be thankful and really we should remember them everyday not just one one day. But sometimes life gets to hectic and we get caught up in everything that we forget the little things. How a smile or a hug can be way more valuable to you than a diamond ring.

So as this Crimson Romance Winter Wonderland Blog Hop comes to a conclusion let me again thank you for visiting and commenting and I hope you come back and visit me.
