This is a post that probably should go after I’ve released but I want to take time out before release to thank everyone that has helped me on this journey.
I have to thank my wonderful husband, Jason. He has ALWAYS, ALWAYS believed in me, encouraged me and supported me in this endeavour. He has always had faith in me that I can do this and I will get published, and he is right I am now going to be published.
Secondly I have to thank my fabulous Critique Group – Wink Girls. They saw the first draft of this story and their insight and comments helped me to make this story better. Thanks girls!
Then there is the fabulous writing organisation – Romance Writers of Australia. Without them I wouldn’t have linked up with the Wink Girls, not to mention to have the opportunity to pitch this story at Melbourne 2008. Although that publisher passed on the project, if they hadn’t been there, I’m not sure I would’ve got this story down in its present form.
Katrina of KikaDesign – my fabulous web designer. No question is too hard or too trivial. No task, no matter how small or large. Kat is there at the other end of an email or tweet and before I know it she’s solved my problem or put in every feature I ask for – thanks Kat!!
Of course I have to thank Jennifer Lawler, Jessica Verdi and Crimson Romance who loved Alex and Sophie’s story enough to want to acquire and, well here we are 3 days out from it hitting the world.
I also need to thank the wonderful West Houston & North West Houston Chapters of RWA. Everyone in both chapters has been so welcoming and helpful and just the best towards me. It’s such a pleasure to see these ladies on a regular basis.
I really need to thank a couple of the fabulous people I’ve met on twitter since I’ve sold. These ladies have become, for me, very good friends. They support and believe in me and Masquerade and they are willing to talk my book up – I am so grateful to Janet Wrenn and Kristy Wyatt – thanks ladies I’m truly honoured to know you.
Ok now this is starting to sound like an Academy Award speech, but all of these thanks are heartfelt. I’m humbled by the support and friendship I’ve received since I started on this journey.
Finally I have to thank all of you readers who have read my blog when it first started in 2005 (I’m sure there are still some of you out there) to my new readers who will pick up Masquerade.
There will be more to come from me on my writing journey – so stay tuned!!

So happy for you! Enjoy every minute of it!
Thanks so much Wendy!
Wohoo – only three days to go! What a warm fuzzy post. Thanks for sharing all those special peeps!
LOL Rach, thanks! Yep it’s a warm fuzzy and I know I’ve mentioned some in my acknowledgments but I’ve got some new people to thank and I knew I wanted to do it before my release!
Oh wow, I am the one who is honored (honoured). Through the wonders of social media I’ve gotten to know a few awesome people. One never really expects that they’ll turn into beautiful heartfelt friendships. I am your biggest cheerleader and will take my pompons where ever I go and back you up! We’ll Kermit Flail together and we’ll drown our sorrows together. This industry is a roller coaster of a ride and I’m glad we have each other along the way. I’m so proud of you! Here’s to many more releases we’ll celebrate together!
And I’ll have my pompoms to help you celebrate your victories which will be soon!
My sweet Nicki! I am so thankful for your friendship! It’s crazy how close you can become to someone across the country using social media. Thank you for your friendship and endless encouragement. I’m so excited for you and your release! I know there are great things still to come for you. And, I’ve always got your back. 😉 xoxox
