Sometimes you just want to go back!

It’s Sunday night and after a great weekend of ripping up the front yard (well hubby did the hard work) it was time to settle down in front of the tv with dinner!

A new show started called “Frozen Planet”. We’d seen some adverts for it and we all wanted to watch it. Well let me just say the moment it was on I was transported back to the living room I’d grown up with watching documentaries narrated by the dulcet tones of The great David Attenborough.

It was a wonderful memory and it got me to thinking about sitting in that living room all those years ago. I can’t say I really wanted to watch the show but I did because we only had one TV. It made me think of all the times I wished that I was able to watch the TV shows I wanted, the ones the kids at school watched. To be truthful, tonight I wanted to be that little girl again when the only worry I had was wondering if the girl whose house I went to over the weekend was going to be my friend again.

It’s amazing how the things we “suffered” through as children, or what we perceived we were suffering through are actually the things that make us who we are today and as we are older how we appreciate those little things so much more.

What did you sit and “suffer” through as a kid, but now remember with fond memories?
