A Year On!

So today is my “Emailiversary” – 20th June 2012 at 12.15pm I opened an email that set me on a new path. It was the day I became a contracted Author with Crimson Romance.  It was the day that I’ll never forget. I still open that email sometimes. Mostly when I’m feeling a little down and wondering why the heck I’m writing when the words won’t come!

How has being author changed me? Well it hasn’t changed the essential me. I’m still me. I’m still a wife and mum, but now I have other things that are required. I have deadlines which means I have to write everyday – I’m still working on that LOL

Since I got that first email I’ve signed another four contracts, one of those contracts with my other publisher Escape Publishing. Since 20th June 2012 I’ve had 3 books published. Wow! Three books!  If you’d told me then that i would have achieved that I would have laughed at you. I was so worried I was a one book wonder.

Another thing that has happened to me is that over a twelve month period I have met some wonderful people on twitter. I’ve been able to meet a few of them and they are really good friends now. There are still plenty of people who I chat to on twitter that I want to meet – and I know that I will.

Where will I be this time next year? I don’t know but I know I’ll still be celebrating that email that said “I’d love to have it”. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that feeling.
